Starting today, consumers can purchase the highly-anticipated GeForce 7800 GTX GPU from the world's leading add-in card manufacturers at online retailers. In addition, an unprecedented number of PC OEMS and system builders have announced plans to build systems around the NVIDIA GeForce 7800 models of GPUs.
"We've never had such widespread volume availability of a GPU on launch day," stated Jeff Fisher, executive vice president of worldwide sales at NVIDIA. "Frankly, this breakthrough in availability is as significant as the breakthrough the GeForce 7800 GTX GPU makes in performance."
"We have been shipping GeForce 7800 GTX GPU-based graphics boards to our retail partners for several weeks in order to assure that they will be in stock and for sale today -- the day NVIDIA announced," said Eddie Memon, vice president at XFX. "Our customers love real product launches, and we are sure the reaction of end users will be extremely positive."
"Alienware's customers demand the best components available, and the NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX GPU takes its place at the top of their wish list," said Robert Lusk, vice president of sales and marketing at Alienware. "I don't think we have ever seen a new high-end GPU debut with immediate availability!"
System builders, add-in card manufacturers, and retailers are offering lightning-fast performance by leveraging the combined power of dual GeForce 7800 GTX GPUs through NVIDIA SLI(TM) technology.
"When I saw how fast the GeForce 7800 GTX GPU was, I was floored. I was even more amazed when I plugged in a second card and ran the pair in SLI mode and saw the performance go even higher," enthused Randy Copeland, president and CEO of Velocity Micro.
